Our Story

Welcome to Iconic Jiu Jitsu on the beautiful Central Coast, NSW. We offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for kids, teens, adults, women only, Veterans and First Responders, competition and self defence in a friendly, family-oriented and safe environment.

Iconic Jiu Jitsu is the creation of head coaches Grant and Rachael Bradshaw, who are both Luke Beston black belts under Royce Gracie Lineage.

Grant is a professional high school sports teacher with over 25 years experience in martial arts, and 25 years of professional teaching and coaching experience.

Rachael now runs Iconic Jiu Jitsu full time after a lengthy career in Emergency Services.

Together they lead a formidable team of coaches, including their two sons Connor and Flynn, who have both been practicing Jiu Jitsu since they were 4 years old. Iconic truly is a family run business, with the ethos and support of our amazing community.

CLASSES

Iconic Jiu Jitsu offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coaching and classes for children, teens, men and women.

Junior Kids

4-8 year olds

Our Junior Kids program sets the foundation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for years to come. We place focus on developing confidence as well as fundamental body movement, control, correct technique and Jiu Jitsu submissions learnt through both direct instruction and a variety of fun games. The number 1 rule in this class is to make sure your friends have so much fun they can’t wait to come back, and make sure they’re safe so they can come back! Students will ‘play’ wrestle with each other and the coaches. Our JNR kids classes run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm.

At Iconic we have no lock in contracts or joining fees. The first class is absolutely FREE to try.

Senior Kids

9-13 year old

Our Senior Kids program focuses on building confidence and resilience by developing efficient technique around takedowns, control and submissions. Students will continue to build upon real world application for self defence as well as being given the opportunity to use their Jiu Jitsu in a sports and competition context. Our SNR kids classes run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm.

At Iconic we have no lock in contracts or joining fees. The first class is absolutely FREE to try.

Teens

12-19 years old

Our Teens class is the bridge in transitioning our kids into adult classes. Our Teens Class runs every Wednesday from 5-6pm and is coached by Grant along with other highly experienced coaches. The aim is to develop and maintain excellence in Jiu Jitsu, motivation, peer support and confidence to be able to successfully meet the requirements of the adult classes. Teens are also invited to participate in Snr Kids Classes or Adult Classes where they best fit in terms of level and confidence for extra training sessions.

Adults

All ages

Our adults curriculum is second to none. Expert planning and teaching led by a professional, highly qualified Black Belt teacher with over 25 years of experience in Physical Education make up the fabric of what sets Iconic Jiu Jitsu apart from the rest. Our classes are always fun, safe and practical. You will learn realistic self defence and technical Jiu Jitsu that can be applied on the training mat, in the real world and on the competition stage. What we teach at Iconic is current best practice of what is being used by the best athletes in the world.

Iconic’s ethos is inclusive for all teens, women and men in the adult environment. We have a strong outlook on making sure that all our members feel welcome on the mats irrelevant of what brings them through our doors.

Our adults classes run from Monday to Saturday, 6 days a week offering early morning, morning and evening sessions in both Gi and NoGi.

Womens Program

12+

At Iconic, we deeply value the growth and empowerment of our female students. To support this, we’ve dedicated every Friday from 5-6pm to our exclusive Women’s Only Jiu Jitsu class. Led by our head female black belt coach Rachael – and the only black belt female coach on the Central Coast – this class is a safe and nurturing environment for all our female students aged 12 and above.

In this class, not only will you learn the strategic and physical elements of Jiu Jitsu but also build your confidence, foster a sense of community, and grow together in both strength and spirit. It’s an opportunity to come together and experience the camaraderie and empowerment that comes from training among fellow women.

This class is suitable for ALL LEVELS.

Veterans & First Responder Program

18+

Are you a Veteran, or First Responder? At Iconic, our Veteran and First Responder students are very important to us. We have nurtured an environment where Veterans and First Responders have been able to come together on the mats to train, grow, and share experiences with fellow VFRs who understand your unique journey. Join us on the mats specifically every Tuesday morning and across all other classes. We look forward to welcoming you to the Iconic family!
